Shortly before midnight on Friday, September 8th, 2023, the strongest earthquake in over 100 years struck Morocco. Communities in the High Atlas Mountains and nearby areas are facing overwhelming loss of life with over 2,900 casualties and many more in critical condition. A quick response is direly needed, and we are mobilizing efforts for immediate community relief.

The Moroccan Society of Houston swiftly established on ground relief efforts with local partnering organizations by organizing a donation drive to collect essential supplies (hygiene, clothing, first aid, medical) for distribution to the affected areas in Morocco.

In addition, The Moroccan Society of Houston is accepting donations to help those affected by this devasted earthquake. 100% of your donation to the MSH Earthquake Relief Campaign will go directly to support local trusted nonprofit organizations who are currently helping impacted families with the recovery efforts around the Haouz area.

There is no amount too small, because every dollar you donate makes a difference and contributes to an immediate and significant impact on the lives of the survivors we serve!
